Activities

Alongside access to the many stunning beaches in the area, there is an extensive network of footpaths covering both coastal and in-land walks

The small quay at Valtos provides a great launch pad for water sports, such as  paddle boarding and kayaking,  great ways to explore the nearby islands and coves.

Boat and exhilarating rib rides to explore the wild coastline and remote islands including St Kilda can be booked via
Sea Trek


Uig sands expansive beach and strong winds is popular with both kite flyers and kite surfers among others!  

There are many amazing spots for fishing, both in the sea and the surrounding lochs but licenses are required and some sites may be privately owned so please check the details for specific areas.

The world famous Callanais Standing Stones are a 30 minute drive away:


Explore the ancient village at Gearrannan
or
the ancient site of Dun Carloway Broch


Both just a 40 minute drive away
